The big money driver now that makes VMware not feasible is the SQL Server 2012 licensing model. This is a hard sell because youG«÷re paying the same as physical in virtual but losing the performance, power and stability. If you go VCPU youG«÷re paying for hyper threaded processors you get for free in the physical world. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

This is the awesome great end to VMware for SQL server, because why would I pay the same to lose performance, have flaked out reliability, and not have true HA. Ha, ha ha...right I wouldnG«÷t :-) Boy what a selling point for VMware. Good bye VMware! Good riddance! Good job Microsoft getting rid of these jokers in the SQL 2012 world :-)
