Frankly, this isn't just a challenge for EPIC consultants. Finding qualified individuals is not easy and working with consulting firms can be problematic. Seems quite a few of the consulting firms are not vetting out their candidates very well. Also, the lack of flexibility exhibited by some of them leaves lots to be desired. As someone who pays top dollar for EHR consultants, I expect a high degree of competence and corporation from my consulting firms and their consultants. There are a few firms that do this well but not many.
