This is like a Concorde offering from AWS -- Joyent's built from the ground up high-performance IaaS stack is like a 747. SSDs definitely make sense for some kinds of workloads (namely
those that can't fit in DRAM but aren't so large as to make the SSDs uneconomic), but, like the Concorde, the limited numbers of people that will pay for the performance limits the overall impact.
