I was just discussing this very point with one of our admins the other day. RDP needs extensions to enable transport of touches. If it became an open standard then you could even use Windows 8 via RDP on other tablets G㢠like Android, iPad, PlayBook G㢠and then MS has all of those platforms as potential consumers of Win8 VDI.

Furthermore, Microsoft has provided a 'subset' of .NET for WinRT apps (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-u... so that enterprises with large .NET codebases can (hopefully) use at least most of them with WinRT.
