Fair enough to generically say that an in-memory DB is a necessary component - but Exalytics is far from the best example of one. Exalytics is a compilation of spare parts - TimesTen, OBIEE, Essbase, etc.

When it comes to in-memory analytics - there are far better solutions than Exalytics!
