re: State CIOs Face Balancing Act In 2013
The survey highlights the year-over-year increase in respondents who have at least SOME applications in the cloud, underscoring the importance of state CIOs acting now and developing a uniform cloud strategy rather than integrating applications on an ad hoc basis. They need to embrace the cloud, drive the development of cloud integration strategies, and advise organizations on how the cloud can meet their needs. After all, their role -- and the IT departmentG«÷s role -- is changing. Where they once merely supervised operational needs, they now must serve as trusted advisers.
