It seems that there best practices that Gupta implemented for Cipla aren't necessarily medical field unique, but are inherent with any large corporation. He made the right move in consolidating the vendor negotiations and colocation of its servers. Even given the changes that were made, I feel Cipra will be hard pressed to hit its 30-35% growth rate targets due to technical infrastructure limitations as they don't happen overnight.
