re: Healthcare Experts Propose EHR Safety Guidelines
Great guidelines for implementing and using EHR to promote safety. Although most may seem like common sense, each is equally as important. If not utilized correctly, EHR can create more issues for an organization and not increase the level of patient care. An example of this would be guideline 2 where different parts of an organization use different ways of entering orders, which requires staff to check multiple places for results and makes it more likely to miss data. EHR roll out in an organization must be uniform.
