Have to agree with the thesis. I remember my first car of 40 years ago and it was not that different than the one I drive today - the main difference is the electronics. The big non-electronic developments - disk brakes, auto-transmissions, V8, etc all happened half a centry ago. And that's just sad.

Cheers to you Rob for calling "Bogus" on a trite missive from Kasparov and Thiel: Their "argument" (if you can call it that) reads like the same old "Things were so much better, people so much smarter, events so much more important, inventions so much more meaningful back in the day...." diatribes that every young generation has to endure from its forebears.
