Yes, @Cara I didn't think people really had to be taught about social media best practices, to me it seems obvious. But I'm slowly learning that they really do. I would think that an employee would realize that criticizing or satirizing a company any way in a public forum is a bad idea for the company's rep. But I guess people don't think or aren't that smart?

I think one way to prevent having employees posting negative or damaging content to social media pages is to educate them. Having workshops about appropriate behavior on social media as well as helping employees understand how social media can actually benefit an organization's image may even generate innovative ideas for betterment of the brand image.
