re: Intel Launches Low Power Atom To Counter ARM
And the shot across the bow is fired... Intel wants its share of the big server and small specialized server markets.

I also think that some enterprising companies out there building HPC solutions will look to the Atom to power highly parallel workloads or as a control level for GPUs.

Time to think big and small at the same time.

re: Intel Launches Low Power Atom To Counter ARM
How much does a complete system based on this new Intel compared to a complete system based on ARM? I feel like this is very important detail, without this it is hard to tell if Intel has a competitive low end product. On the surface it sounds good. I also wonder if we will see WIndows Server 8 for ARM based servers anytime in the near future?

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
