Finally. The Flickr iPhone app has been a joke for years, and the fact that Yahoo is only now adding the ability to take photos to a photo app shows just how moribund the Flickr program was at Yahoo.

Will Yahoo take this further, and make Flickr more relevant as a photo-sharing community, by better tying it into other apps and websites? Here's hoping, not least given the annual revenue Yahoo earns from numerous "pro" Flickr customers ...
