Limos and car services have nothing to worry about. I've tried both Uber and TaxiMagic in NYC. Pure garbage. Inaccurate, entirely over-priced rides (Uber) and a waste of time. What I DO use my iPhone for when hailing a cab is flashlight apps with strobe for after-dark hailing.
