re: Disney Tries Tech For A Bit More Magic
I think many consumers would appreciate this type of technology, as it would definitely improve their experiences. But I could also see how they might be wary of the use of their information -- or that of their children -- by Disney for marketing or other purposes. I'm sure, though, that Disney officials are smart enough to recognize this and will do everything in their power to transform this new tech-driven experience into a positive one.

I'm definitely one of those who would rather unplug from technology during a vacation but if they offer enough incentives and rewards I'd still go for the bracelet.

I think this is bringing information/data capture to a new level. If done correctly, Disney should be able to increase profits (and easily cover the $1b price tag), but also improve things for customers. Consumers expect advanced technology from companies. This seems like a no brainer for Disney. And Disney should be able to pull it off.
