re: EHRs Don't Ensure Speedy Lab Test Results
It's surprising to see such results in something that has been promoted as saving so much time. From the article, it seems most of the issues are stemming around alerts and patients not being aware or not having training to use the systems efficiently. I'm sure long-term we will find solutions to make EHRs benificial to lab test results, but in the meantime we will just have to work on training and modify processes.
