There are several inaccuracies in this article which I must address.

1. I did not refer to any specific news article in any local press and indeed, the article cited was about an accounting error made by Cambridge City Council (not the County Council) and has no relevance to BYOD.

Cambridgeshire County Council must always ensure it's resources are used in the best possible way, adherring to "best value" standards at all times.

2. I am not a politician but a local government employee.

3. Whilst the BYOD scheme does not include formal one-to-one training, simple instructions will be made available (tested durin the pilot), adequate for the majority of users to get up and running G㢠produced at a cost by the Council.
