re: Gartner Magic Quadrant Spots Data Warehouse Leaders
Mark Beyer: An important elaboration on a couple of things.

We want to emphasize that the Logical Data Warehouse is only partially represented by the information strategy, which is composed of repositories, federation and distributed processes. Multi-tiered cache and other features are generally features of those technologies and not a specific differentiation for the LDW.

We saw some significant movement this year, but one that was dramatic regards SAP. To be clear and make sure it is not missed, Gartner's position is that SAP's position on our Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems is attributable to IQ and Hana. The full integration of the Syabe IQ offering into SAP is a major contributor, but so is the execution element of delivering Hana and significant customer growth.
