re: FAA Drone Plan Hits Turbulence
Yet another example of policy not keeping up with technology. Drones are evolving quickly, in a variety of shapes and sizes, and businesses and individuals will find many ways to use them. Gives new meaning to BYOD -- bring your own drone. But the market (estimated at $89B within 10 years in the above-mentioned GAO report) will be stifled if systems and processes aren't in place to maintain order in the skies. Looks like it could be a few years before the FAA catches up to this rapidly emerging market.
