We have all had weeks like this one, although we do not have systems like Curiosity that cost millions and millions of dollars, and have all sorts of support to help out. I am sure in all the money that was spent there hundreds upon hundreds of precautionary measures taken for situations that arise just like this. They probably have even developed policies and protocols on how to deal with these obstacles effectively. I did not know that Curiosity had a Twitter handle and was tweeting away, I must follow.
