re: Workday Adds Android Support, Customization
If our company used Workday instead of Oracle E-Business suite, we could set up an accounting code something like "InformationWeek/freelance writing" instead of the inscrutable code I currently use, which is an 18-digit number formatted as follows: 01-nnn-nnnn-nnnnn-1304, with "01" representing InformationWeek and "1304" being the year and month. Seems like a no-brainer to me, but Workday probably isn't alone in supporting this sort of "customization" with configuration settings that don't break when the app is updated.

The Business of Going Digital
The Business of Going Digital
Digital business isn't about changing code; it's about changing what legacy sales, distribution, customer service, and product groups do in the new digital age. It's about bringing big data analytics, mobile, social, marketing automation, cloud computing, and the app economy together to launch new products and services. We're seeing new titles in this digital revolution, new responsibilities, new business models, and major shifts in technology spending.
