re: University of Kentucky HealthCare Revamps Order Sets
Any healthcare implementation can be costly and disastrous if not properly planned before implementing. To say that UK Healthcare got lucky can be seen as a huge understatement as we have all seen the difficulty of implementing that initial CPOE system. Even though they have been successful, now they are seeing some of the negative results in their collection of order sets. It will be more work for them right now but by organizing their data right now they can build a better foundation for the future.
