re: FCC To Boost Wi-Fi On Planes
I want my job to include using Wi-Fi so that I won't stop working while I'm using it.

re: FCC To Boost Wi-Fi On Planes
I took an Amtrak trip last week that had free wi-fi the whole route for the first time. It let me keep in touch with colleagues by email, but I didn't get the usual burst of uninterupted work done that I usually would on the train. I like that uninterupted time on a plane, but I would be happy to know that flights have a good, reliable wifi option like this for sale when needed.

re: FCC To Boost Wi-Fi On Planes
I have not taken a
flight since they started putting Wi-Fi on planes, but I imagine that ids an awful
convenient. I find it humorous that you are paying for that convenience, and that
price is dependent upon speed and length of the flight that you will be utilizing
these services. Just Think 20 years ago we were still using dial-up and this
was not even a problem to solve then.

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
