re: Health Plans Seek EHR Data For New Payment Models
This sort of bidirectional flow of information is what we are all hoping to achieve when it comes to the relationship between EHR systems and the patient plan providers. Having patient information readily available in real time will allow the insurance companies to pay the providers faster and will allow them to collect and analyze patient information to fit into their new payment models. As it states in the article,
this isnGÇÖt going to happen overnight, but as long as we keep taking steps toward this exchange of data, they are steps in the right direction.
