Dell has consistently lagged the market in every product line and category except servers so its not surprising earnings lag as well. No smartphone, no Android tablet, crappy Win8 tablet, late to market ultra books, and add higher prices than competitors all causing earnings to suffer. Taking the company private won't solve these problems, instead look for a take over, buyout or merger in the near future by maybe Acer or Asus.
