re: Will IT Departments Disappear By 2020?
Many of the tasks that IT organizations provide are common if not exactly the same as their competitors. This is causing the rise of multi-tenant IT shops that service multiple companies that are competitors, but who are alll looking to lower their iT (and Operations) costs. By supplying these shops with masked (or de-identified) data, it also eliminates the risk of a data breach in these types of environments.
