re: Intermountain, Deloitte Tool Analyzes Health Outcomes
The OutcomesMiner tool is just another great idea of how to
use Big Data effectively in healthcare. IG«÷m a fan of data analysis but only if
it is used in the way this tool utilizes it, not necessarily to make decisions
for the physicians but to provide them with assistance when making decisions
regarding patient care. That and the ability of the tool to not only provide
statistical data but use the statistical data together with other pertinent
data to show factors that could have contributed to medical problems.

When it comes to managing data, donít look at backup and archiving systems as burdens and cost centers. A well-designed archive can enhance data protection and restores, ease search and e-discovery efforts, and save money by intelligently moving data from expensive primary storage systems.
