This may be wishful thinking that consumers will want to download an app that tells them whether a restaurant or retailer is obeying labor laws. But the point of this is to get innovators figure out how to put this govt data to work. Federal CTO Todd Park has proven that none of us is as smart as all of us; and that data is the raw material of the new economy. The Labor Dept. might want to throw in more than a trip to Washington as an incentive though.
