I completely agree that the barriers hindering the nationwide adoption of telemedicine need to be broken down. We are too far behind when it comes to what technology is currently available and what is actually being used in healthcare. Payers need to realize that even though they may need to cover telemedicine equipment, in the long run the patients will be healthier and they would most probably realize a profit.

I wonder if we're letting docs off the hook a bit here -- are they being aggressive enough in pushing to offer patients telemedicine?
