How about IT Audit? We need people that can ask WHY over and over to ferret out broken processes, undocumented interfaces and convoluted schematics.

re: 7 Top Career Paths After IT
I've not seen any moves of computer degreed executives whom started in IT moving into business over the years. However I can't tell you how many non-tech people with non-tech degrees have been put in charge of IT then move on only to be replaced again by a non-technology person. It appears IT is a great training ground for managers and executives outside of IT but not for technology people themselves. Sure, more companies are now putting technology people in charge of IT but there are very poor odds of going higher.

Have you thought about moving from IT into another area of your organization--or at another organization? Do you have any additions for this list?
