Good move. Sounds like the CIO Council, given its six "major" committees and 29 subcommittees, had become a bureaucracy unto itself. Innovation, portfolio/project management and security seem like the right three broad areas to focus on.

I wonder how much money this will save. Streamlining the development process is sure to improve efficiency - always a plus considering the sequester.
