6 months to sell them on tablets is longer than I would have guessed. Anyone else have experience/advice to share where people resisted tablets in field sales roles?

It's a good warning to consider your company's unique culture when implementing mobile strategies. Another example -- we recent wrote about a Coke bottling company CIO's mobile strategy tips, where he shared its experiment with letting people buy their own devices. Employees didn't want that, they wanted IT to guide that decision and do the support.
