As a first-time panelist at this year's Flash Memory Summit, I'd like to add to George's comments that flash is a boon to virtualized environments. Being able to under-provision vRAM means you can fit more virtual machines per host server. Large caches mean application and application I/O occurs faster. Flash speeds up the whole system, less CPU wait time, as I/Os occur at near speed of light. Flash enables virtualized production systems.
