According to John, ACT wants to reach and help more high school students, but it should be noted that the site itself is a good marketing strategy.

ACT expects ten million students to use the site. Each will learn that they need the ACT or SAT exam to get into college so they can achieve their career goals. On the student homepage, there are large, bold links to register for the exam and view scores. With greater exposure among students who decide they want to attend college, ACT could boost business.
