Thanks for this link, Doug, and for the context. It's very interesting to me how these roles are evolving, and even opening up new opportunities for both sides. (Marketing to IT, and IT to marketing, as I covered in my story here: http://www.informationweek.com... Social seems to be a big catalyst for all of this (well, at least one of them).

IT and marketing departments have a lot to learn from each other, to be sure. The lines between their respective roles are also starting to blur. How are IT and marketing working together (or not) at your organization?
