As far as I can tell, this is the only website that serves as such a directory. Certainly a helpful resource -- finding the appropriate place to close an account can be painful.

Sounds like this tool, used strategically, can help you create (or at least manage) the online "persona" you desire. But I wouldn't want to start over from scratch--a professional Internet presence is important. I'd use it as a filter more than anything.

Excellent idea--I've hit some brick walls (or at least unwanted scenic detours) when trying to get rid of some services. Is this the only such service or are there other options?
