A set of applications that run within the Chrome browser, but look and behave like the kind of apps you'd see on a tablet or PC.
It actually looks great so far. Google always has great creative and design talented.

It'll be interesting to see which markets increase their Chrome OS adoption thanks to developments like this. A lot of places will still need Windows for certain crucial processes, but for some employees, Chrome OS is becoming viable. And for students, it's becoming a really strong option, given the cheap Chromebooks that are out there.

Yes, the apps are sandboxed because they rely on the Chrome runtime (sort of an unseen browser engine).

Do the security benefits of Chrome transfer when these apps run on a desktop OS? Or, is that TBD!
