Ripple and Bitcoin are not the same. Bitcoin is a real decentralized and therefor has the unique advantage that there is no central owner to control the game. Ripple OTOH is a distributed system and the owner is able to print the money. Do you want a company doing that ???? That's even worse than a government doing it  for their society and state .... 

ripplescam.org/ gives a pretty good idea of the risks and the differences between both systems ...

Does anyone use Bitcoin (and the like) other than hard-core nerds in their 20s? I think actual money is perfectly fine for about 99.99999% of the population.
