This article is stating the obvious. Any company ran by Larry Ellison will be investor-oriented.

The company president (Safra Katz) and it's former co-president (Charles Philipps) both came from Wall Street. They have done a great job optimizing the company for the things that Wall Street cares about: margins and growth. I don't think either Safra or Charles ever worried about customers. They have done a fantastic job building a very profitable company, but they aren't technologists. So why is anyone surprised by this?
