re: LG 'G Flex' Smartphone Has Curved Screen
Lorna,

Think outside of the box.

1. Our bodies are not square, the phone confirms perfectly to your butt. This allows for a more comfortable fit.

2. It allows you to sit on the phone without breaking the device.

3. Movie theaters are shaped the same way to give you a "3d" effect. When watching movies on this device, it's the same thing.

I have the unit in my hands for testing, and all I can say is it's pretty amazing, and like you said the device is flexible. I have put all my weight on the device to make it straight. It's not flexible to the point you can bend it 90* or fold it in half, but this is just the beginning of the new tech. Future is prominent to devices you can fold up and put in your pocket.

I guess this is one of those "because we can" sort of projects. I like new tech as much as as the next person, but it's difficult to see the benefit of a curved screen unless it's also flexible.
