Windows 8.1 isn't even close to being a "Service Pack", the Windows 8 Series has made my life a lot easier, Windows 8.1 helps the platform, if you have a Windows Phone, Tablet or desktop you want it to be the same on all platforms and that is what Microsoft have done! I use Windows 8 everyday of my life and its the best, more releases is a good thing! I use Google Android on my Tablet, Windows 8 RT on my laptop, Apple iOS on my iPhone and iPad! Never needed a X86 based processor again!!
