My little corner of this world is Microsoft SQL Server and related data-management and business intelligence capabilities. Demand here is steady. Microsoft is the market share leader as measured in # of databases licensed (though not dollars -- where Oracle leads) and it also has articulated a decent big data strategy, shipping and supporting a Windows-compatible Hadoop distribution developed by Hortonworks. In-memory database capabilites coming in SQL Server 2014 next year should boost demand.
