re: Kindle HDX Aims At iPad Air
Awwww! Amazon's Kindle Mayday lady, Amy, is oh so helpful. Have you seen her on those Kindle commercials http://youtu.be/9o3Fopzz1j8 ? I guess this is Amazon's attempt to make technology more approachable to extreme technophobes. If a tablet isn't easy enough to use without live tech support I'd say there's room for UI improvement. But maybe the point here is that Amazon is going after a REALLY broad base of users -- not the elite Apple fan base that's oh so hip to technology and upgrades with each and every new release.

My guess is that Amazon is looking to make the pie bigger, not steal Apple's slice.

If you take into account that iPad is a general purpose tablet and the HDX is for Amazon (not Android), then the iPad comes out ahead ... but dont take my word for it - check this (better and more thorough) review out!

re: Kindle HDX Aims At iPad Air
If you take into account the difference between the HDX and Apples iPad both on display quality and price then the clear winner is the HDX. I really do think Amazon this time will give Apple a run for its money in the lead up to Christmas. http://tablets-kindle.blogspot...

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
