re: Google Now Update Improves Voice Commands
As cool as that would be I'm ready for this to be available on my phone.  It kills me now to try and use voice command.  I do the robotic "send text to Steve" and I get a Google search page with sandy Texas sieves.  I think they have a long way to go before I'm using it to dictate long emails but at least they recognize that there is a problem and they're making an attempt to fix it.

Maybe one day we'll get real voice command functionality on our PCs but for now I'd be happy with my phone not assuming I'm an idiot.

Damn...
I was hoping the voice capability would be available on their normal website also.
Always wanted to either say "Computer...." or "Hal, open pod bay doors." to my laptop or desktop.

re: Google Now Update Improves Voice Commands
As much as I find Google Now interesting, I can't help but think of it as a crutch for those who are unable to manage daily life. So much of what Google Now does can be accomplished using your brain.

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
