Perhaps you should take a cut in pay Ms. Barron.  Or perhaps you should quit paying high salaries to employees who walk around the hospital doing nothing.  You should quit spending the hospital's money so foolishly.  Get rid of old staff members who refuse to change and are dragging the hospital down. Perhaps your hospital is over-staffed? Stop hiring your friends.  All you do is get grant money anway, which you spend foolishly.  If you did all of these things, maybe you might be able to afford an EHR?

If you work in a rural hospital, does the picture Alex paints here ring true? Are there any rural hospitals that have nevertheless staked out a leadership position on EHR adoption?
