Internet of oil wells
I wrote the profile of ConocoPhilips and I can tell you they're making the most of their oil well data. Nothing too fancy here. They're spotting the patterns the show the difference between productive and unproductive oil wells and they're taking action in real-time -- remotely in most cases -- to get poor-performing wells back on track. In some cases they've had to build their on mobile networks to keep tabs on sensors in highly remote locations. Interesting stuff!
