Re: Innovation center
I strongly believe that the CEO is sending everyone a silent message that they will not be operational much longer.  I strongly believe in Blackberry from a business utilization standpoint.  However, users today want more than their ability to use their Smartphone for business.  The CEO seems to have very little communication and does not offer much promising information for the future of Blackberry.

Re: Innovation center
Blackberry was the first smart phone to innovate the business world.  However, Blackberry allowed many competitors to take the smart phone era completely over.  Blackberry's competitors used the same technology that Blackberry created and made it better.  One of the main down falls of Blackberry was their target of just the business world.  However, their competitors targeted business as well as leisure time with the various additions.  One of the main reasons that Blackberry is falling apart is the lack of applications (Apps) that they offer.  It will be hard for Blackberry to reach the number category that they once mastered.

Innovation center
I agree with Randy Siegel, that BlackBerry still brings a lot to the table within certain circles of the government. But it's not an encouragin sign to have BlackBerry's CEO announce an innovation center and then have so little to offer to explain what in fact it will be for.  Seems a bit of shooting from the hip, and BlackBerry can't afford to come off that way.
