We do not know that even Facebook come up with even more lengthy setup for privacy settings. Still users have to go through to the lengthy process to reach out to their privacy settings. I use MyPermissions on my Android. It goes farther than your 3 steps there by not only letting you block friends apps from my info but also partner sites AND most importantly all the apps I use. It also let's me manage Twitter and Google :-)

That's a good point, too. I don't disclose my birthday, hometown and phone number, for example.
