Darn dongle details
Ubergoober: Yes, it's possible the OVF-equipped hypervisor sits on a central server, acting as the translation mechanism for different environments. I don't know the details of what's on this dongle.

Re: Dell's dongle no slouch with virtual machines
Based soly  on the article, your thought that this has a mobile hypevisor are probably not justified.  The ablity to do Remote Desktop and ICA client get you close enough to be fully market-speak compliant.  Frankly, that's probably a better solution than running a computer that fits in a dongle as a host for virtual machines you intend to serious work on.

That is very cool.  The zero clients are getting smarter.  I've been saying for several years that we're going to see a shift back to thinner clients and very small PCs that will be can be your every day device from home to office and back.  You'll only need a place to dock and you're in business.  I'm doing this now with a Surface Pro 2 but I'm still waiting for the day that I can do this with a devcie I can carry in my pocket.

Dell's dongle no slouch with virtual machines
If it recognizes Citrix, Microsoft and VMware environments, then it's a mobile hypervisor with the ability to recognize OVF format, the agreed to shared, neutral standard between these three parties. So Cloud Connect does some of its magic by running each application in a virtual machine matching the environment from which it comes.
