MicroStrategy Not A Search Engine
I agree with the post above. Many of the articles about MicroStrategy's product describe it too broadly. Not only is it not like SAP Hana, but also, it is not a search capability. The only in-memory search engine is SRCH2 (http://srch2.com).

What's the competition?
I'm glad MicroStrategy is being clear and restrained about its claims about this technology. It's not really competition to database platforms like SAP Hana, Oracle, Teradata, etc. A closer competitor would be, say, Oracle Exalytics and BusinessObjects Explorer running on SAP Hana. That's my interpretation, but let's see if MicroStrategy or its competitors chime in.
