Federal IT Spending Slashed?
Perhaps the headline writer should be faulted instead of the author, but a 2.9% cut is scarcely a 'slashing' of the budget, particularly when the cost of a lot of things in IT keeps going down.

But then again, this is the gubmint, and they never seem to be able to make do with less of anything (except defense).

Fed agencies, save more of your IT budget in the cloud.
Increased use of cloud services should help prevent the building of more federal data centers and allow funds needed for security and development to go to those purposes instead of into new capital expenses.
